- Included in financial aid package awarded by school
- Based on financial need
- Interest is paid by the government while the student is in school at least half-time and during the six-month grace period
- Fixed Interest Rate, of 6.8% (effective 07/01/2007)
- Freshmen may borrow up to $3,500
- Sophomores - up to $4,500
- Juniors - up to $5,500
- Seniors - up to $5,500
- Each year of graduate school - up to $8,500
- Aggregate total undergraduate - $23,000
